Across from the Plymouth Church

Since I didn’t have an exact address for my project I decided to research the area around Whitman’s address as well as the history of the location I thought was most likely to be Whitman’s one time home.

In my blog I have information on the past owners of the land around the house “Across from the Plymouth Church” as well as some of the other plots of land on the block. I’m also including a little on the backgrounds of select land owners and the names of some streets in the area.

A large part  of the blog will center around the history of The Church of the Assumtion of the Blessed Virgin Mary which is currently directly across from the Plymouth Church and most likely to have been built on the land where Whitman lived.
